90MinutesForums Terms & Rules 2009/2010

90 Minutes Forums is meant to be an enjoyable site for anyone to use, but we still have to apply rules so everyone can enjoy their stay here. We've previously taken the lenient stance on offences, but it led to inconsistency so we have decided to implement some rules to the site, with obvious punishments.

Signatures and Avatars
At present, we do not allow "userbars" in signatures, as they became to excessive with members having 8 or 9 pointless user bars. However, this is a situation we will probably review in the next few weeks. Signatures can be images or text. But be sensible. Images must not be over 100kb in size, and the same applies to avatars. Signatures/avatars breaking this rule will be removed without warning. Please do not include racial, prejudice or sexual remarks in your signature, they will be removed. Please also do not include email addresses in your signature, they can lead to you recieving excessive amounts of spam!

Illegal Material
Do NOT post illegal material, be it warez, pornographical images, racial material, or anything otherwise discriminating or illegal at 90 Minutes Forums. We have a very low tolerance level for illegal topics as we'd be the ones paying to fix things. Any topics created that break this rule will be deleted and the member will be monitored for a period of time.

Replying to topics
There is no point in creating a topic if no-one replies, but the replies should be sensible. One word replies like "lol" or a smilie irritate everyone, and will just be deleted. Any member found to be excessively replying to higher their post count will simply have their post count reset.

Creating a topic
We welcome you to create any topic you wish. But please bare in mind which forum you are posting it in. For example, do not post a Barcelona thread in the English Football section. Also, please check an identical topic does not already exist, duplicate topics will be merged by a moderator.

"Txt-tlk"
Text-talk, posting in a way which you would send a text message, is not tolerated. There is no limit of the number of characters used in a post, so don't try to limit the typing as you would in a text message. Persistant offenders will be punished.

Posting of SPAM messages
Simply don't do it! They will be deleted, and staff may take further action if deemed necessary.

* SPAM = Stupid Pointless Annoying Messages
* Can cover messages without any real meaning, i.e. haha.
* Can also cover advertising of sites.

Advertising of competiting sites
This will not, under any circumstances, be tolerated. If you want to become an affiliate of TF, please contact an administrator by PM. We will not tolerate members posting links to any forums; football or not. Please, when posting a news story from an official source, quote the site, but do not give a link only without explanation.

POSTING LINKS TO COMPETING SITES WILL LEAD TO AN INSTANT BAN. bye.gif
If you want to advertise another football site then please contact an administrator by PM first and ask or you might find your thread getting deleted.

Use of the PM system
All personal messages sent via TF are logged. If a member complains about a PM sent to them, an administrator will check the logs. Any member found to be advertising competiting sites, verbally abusing members, or breaking any other rule via the PM system will be banned.

The PM System is locked to new members until they visit the "Delare Your Team Here" thread in the welcome centre and are added to a group. We do this in order to encourage the use of these groups.

Multiple Accounts
Any member found to have more than one account at TF will have all their accounts suspended. If you create a new account having recently returned (except from a ban) and not knowing your own account details, please contact an administrator immediately so we don't suspend your account.

Use of foul/abusive language
We accept that swearing is becoming more widely used in the outside world, and we have a fair tolerance of foul language. However, we don't accept any members abusing others. Excessive use of meaningless foul language will lead to punishment. Age of members Members of any age are allowed to use TF. Please bare this in mind.

Double Posting
We have a system that means you can edit posts. Please do not post twice in the same topic without reply, or post two replies in a row. There is no time limit on editing, so please use the function. Double posts will be merged, and persistant breaking of this rule will lead to warnings. Posting of images Do not post images of an inappropriate nature on TF. Pornographic or inappropriate images will be deleted, and the user dealt with.

"Gossip Talk"
We all know newspapers carry some odd stories. Please do not post topics regarding specific players' allegations, such as sexuality, breaking of the law etc. Whether these stories are true or not, players can sue 90minutes forums for damaging their reputation by UK law. This would almost certainly mean the end of TF. Copyrighted Material Where material, such as images or news articles, are posted on TF, please either link to the original source and comment, or quote the article/image in [quote] tags and state clearly the source.

90 Minutes Forums accepts no responsibility for the content posted on this site. Messages are regularly checked by the staff team, and inappropriate content is deleted. 90 Minutes Forums can not guarantee inappropriate material is deleted within 24 hours, especially in busy periods.
